John 2:24-25

But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man’s testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.

   Insight:

There are times that we focus on man or we become like man pleaser rather than God pleaser.

Like in conducting church activities, I experience an excitement and felt encouraged to assist in conducting a worship seminar and did my part to promote it in different churches. They have a positive response and confirm attendance on the said date of the event. When the event came, people who confirmed before was not there, the expected attendance was not met and the finances on the place of the rented venue was not enough because those who promise to give pledges did not give it. Due to that, I was disappointed and discouraged. This happens because I placed my trust in people or churchmates instead of giving it to God.

The good news is that God is perfect and will not disappoint. He is always loving and good. Don’t give trust to people that belongs to God, but rather, give yourself completely to Him. He alone is trustworthy.
